Position: Receptionist and Administrative Assistant

Location: Montreal

Position Description

Leede Jones Gable is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant in our Montreal Branch Office. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will provide support to investment advisors within the Montreal Branch, liaise with clients and support staff in other offices.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Act as receptionist and answer phones and greet clients
  • Arrange meetings, prepare printed material and schedule meetings
  • Process client requests, account transfer, deposits, withdrawals, and payments
  • Track tax-related requests
  • Follow up on client transactions to ensure proper execution
  • Ensure that client completes any necessary documents on time and submits them for further processing
  • Maintain discretion/confidentiality in all tasks
  • Various other duties as requested

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English and French, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong telephone communications and client service skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to successfully multitask
  • CSC & CPH preferred
  • IIROC registration preferred

Manager of Operations, Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto Office

Position: Manager of Operations

Location: Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto

Position Description

We are self-clearing and believe that the ability to offer superior “customer service” to our investment advisors and their clients is a key component of our strategy for remaining successful in an increasingly challenging environment. Reporting to the CFO, the Manager of Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision, support, and development of 15 back-office staff located in Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto. Their primary objective will be to ensure that we deliver courteous, efficient and effective service while at all times complying with IIROC regulations and internal policies, procedures, and internal control practices.

Experience Required

We are seeking a candidate who has comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience of back office procedures in a self-clearing full-service investment dealer environment, including responsibility for the supervision and management of staff. Previous experience with Dataphile is preferable.

As well as the necessary industry knowledge and technical skills, candidates should possess:

Position Summary:

Recent growth results in the need to expand our “back office” operations team. The potential for realigning current duties allows us to consider candidates with a wide variety of areas of expertise, but we are ideally seeking an individual who has had experience in both client account processing and securities cage functions in a self-clearing environment.
