Position: Operations Clerk

Location: Vancouver or Calgary

Position Summary:

Recent growth results in the need to expand our “back office” operations team. The potential for realigning current duties allows us to consider candidates with a wide variety of areas of expertise, but we are ideally seeking an individual who has had experience in both client account processing and securities cage functions in a self-clearing environment.

Requirements:

  • Flexible and enjoys an environment where responsibilities include a variety of tasks which may vary depending on company needs.

  • Experience with Dataphile preferable.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an investment industry back office position.

Executive Administrative Assistant, Calgary Office

We require an experienced administrative assistant to provide support to an executive in the Calgary office. The successful candidate should possess the following:

Requirements:

  • Securities industry experience required, ideally in a sales supportive role: current knowledge of daily market activities and experience with Dataphile and Broadridge is an advantage.
  • Canadian Securities credentials for licensing is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail when handling client documentation.
  • Initiative and well-developed organizational, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills.
  • Professional appearance, communications and work habits. Must be highly organized.

Duties:

  • Schedule and organize meetings.
  • Liaison with back office support staff to ensure all accounts and portfolios are set up and operating.
  • Ensure all accounts are updated, trades are confirmed, clients are updated and provide research and updates with reference to portfolio holdings.
  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Assist in organizing private equity transactions, organizing and maintaining required data communication with transactions participants.
  • Provide back up for the executive and ensure that the office is organized and maintain updates in all aspects of the office.
